Flameware Information

David's line of cookware is made of clay, formulated with pyrax, a component that helps clay withstand thermal shock. Casseroles, kettles and pizza stones marked "flameware" are not only oven safe, but can be used on the stovetop over direct flame. One needs to "cure" it with oil, as you would an iron, use pot holders to handle hot pans, and place on trivets to protect wood, plastic, or granite surfaces. Flameware is dishwasher and microwave oven safe.
